[dataset] MapSPAM CropLand
We apply an already-classified land cover image – where cropland has been identified (CropLand) – to determine the places where production statistics can be allocated. Comparing to SPAM2000 and SPAM 2005, SPAM2010 updates not only the statistics but also the cropland distribution: it uses the global cropland synergy map with a spatial resolution of 500 m circa 2010, jointly produced by CAAS (Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences) and IFPRI.
